Weather Large Image
Weather... It happens... What can you do about it?... is the question... Bad weather isn't necessarily a bad element to encounter. Every condition presents its own unique opportunities and different lighting. Take clouds for example... clouds blanket the sun in such a way that gives you a more flattering look and extends our location possibilities to endless opportunities... It produces a very soft light with very nice even skin tones, whereas with bright overwhelming sun will often create harsh shadows, white outs and limit location possibilities.

Even Light rain is not the enemy. Light wind isn't too bad either. Again these elements of weather can bring out some really different and more natural responses and expressions in you. Weather in "moderation" can be a powerful additive and with the right attitude will make your photo shoot more memorable, unique and becomes the "extra" in extraordinary. Be sure that if "weather happens" your photos can be extra sweet because of these conditions.

Most people are naturally believe that good pictures come only with a sunny day. Not true! Most of my best work has always come from "weather." I check the weather daily and know in advance what is to be expected. Only when there is Extreme bad weather such as high winds and strong rain that settles in for a period of time will we either re-schedule or shoot in the studio. So be at ease and surrender to whatever mother-nature will bring. With this attitude you will not be disappointed, and will get some amazing photos.
